Australia Wide Outback Tours
Stawell Aviation Services have specialised in air tours through the Australian Outback since 1986, bringing to life the beauty of this great country in tours designed to allow time to breathe in the peace and tranquillity of the surrounds. On our tours we cross every desert in Australia, fly the Canning Stock Route, the beautiful northern coastline of the Gulf of Carpentaria, the vivid central Australian deserts and the Great Australian Bight. See the vast and ruggedly beautiful Kimberley from the air where there are no roads, the turquoise waters of the buccaneer Archipelago, the spectacularly rugged beauty of the Pilbara gorges, MacDonnell Ranges and Ayers Rock. Stay at iconic pubs like the Marree Pub, Birdsville Pub, Daly Waters Pub and visit the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame in Longreach, to name but a few places we visit on our tours.
Fly with us or bring your own or hired aircraft and join us too!
We take passengers in our own aircraft and also people with their own or hired aircraft are able to join us as "Tag Alongs". Let us take the stress out of planning a "flying safari" as we do all the ground work, all the dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation, organise all the transfers to and from airports, all included ground tours, and also organise for you a number of optional tours as listed on the itineraries. We provide detailed tour planning information, tracks and distances so the "Tag Along" pilot can just concentrate on their flight planning and enjoy the flying.
We operate a fleet of Cessna high wing aircraft which are ideal sightseeing aircraft offering uninhibited viewing of the vast and beautiful outback landscape. Our aircraft are fitted with individual headsets and intercoms which enable communication within the aircraft and via radio to all other aircraft on tour. Our tour groups are kept small in order that you have the space and freedom to fully enjoy this great adventure. Everyone gets a window seat!
All of our trips are hotel/motel/resort accommodated on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. They include the published ground tours and all ground transfers. The only extras are lunches and drinks and any optional tours that you may wish to take part in.
On each trip there are one or two free days for you to enjoy as you wish. Tours depart from and return to Stawell.
During these tours Stawell Aviation Services cross every desert in Australia and visit many remote and beautiful areas that are inaccessible by any other means. The tours are particularly suited to busy people and with an average of three to four hours flying per day it leaves plenty of time on the ground to meet local people and see the sights.
